Diane Gilman Wrap Shirt with Shirt Collar and Front Pocket

I ordered this in the cream color. I like things that are a bit different but this didn.t work at all. I agree with Daisey girl, it made me look larger then I am and I thought it looked a bit sloppy. The draped front just didn't lay nicely. I find in the last couple years, Diane's styles have changed a lot and her sizes are not consistent. I used to order a size 10 in jeans, a Med. in tops and a size Sm. in jean jackets and they fit the same every time but lately, I have had to return quite a few items due to size. I find the designs that come to TSC are different then to the American channels and I think those are more to my liking a lot of times. Unfortunately she sells on the one that won't take a Canadian credit card and not on the one that will. I was anxious to receive this but it went back. Maybe on someone else it would work fine. I would recommend it but with a note they might not like it.

First of all I love clothes that are different from the norm. This top drapes beautifully and the fabric is so silky. Definitly a keeper!!

About the fit: unlike the other reviewer, I found mine to be a bit snug around the shoulders and writs (had to undo buttons to get hands through - which is odd because I have small hands and wrists). Even, the lenght of the sleeves could have had an extra half inch. I ordered two in "S", one in black and one in kaki. I am 5'5" and weigh 134 lbs.

About the look: I hesitated returning these pieces because they looked absolutely fabulous on me. I could have exchanged them for size "M" but decided not to because the body fit so great in "S", I was worried "M" would have too much bulk because the material this top is made of is surprisingly thick (but it drapes really well).

In the end, I'm the type of person that no matter how great something looks on me, I'll end up never wearing it unless it's super comfy.

Sorry but I think DG should go back to the drawing board with this one. My suggestions: more room on the shoulders and a slightly lighter fabric. Too bad, this could have been a winner!

I ordered two of these wrap shirts, one in black and the other in khaki. I found that they fit very large. I would strongly suggest that you order one size down. I felt that these shirts made me look larger than I actually am. However, a smaller size probably would have made a difference.

Unfortunately, back they go.
