Joan Rivers Embroidered Boyfriend Shirt

I wear 1X and nevertheless I do not have very long arms like other designers and manufacturers seem to think I should have. In fact, in terms of height, I'm at the upper end of the Petite range. Or, this sizing chart seems to be made with me in mind (I'm keeping it for reference in choosing the sizes that may have similar measurements and have ordered many more Joan Rivers clothes because they are the best). The fabric is slightly rough, although not excessively so, and very slightly sheer (I do not want it sheer). The embroidery is beautiful. I actually reordered 3 times to get 2 ivory shirts and one teal shirt because my size was usually out of stock (I was not able to find it in blush and at this point, maybe I wouldn't buy it because I got lots of blouses). The style is very professional, yet feminine. Please not that the teal colour, which is really very beautiful, is actually greenish rather than bluish (the monitors of 2 computers seem to indicate otherwise) and that it bleeds when washing.

I ordered this shirt in the teal and it is quite a lot darker than shown on the website. This shirt is very versatile however the sleeves are just a little snug in the upper arm area (maybe that's just my arms) but I really do like the unique look of the open embroidery detail and will keep.

I love the boyfriend shirt , fits beautifully, the embroidery on the bottom is great I have purchased many of Joan's garments all are great, will continue to purchase her products. I also purchased the jungle floral scarf I am most pleased with it.

I got the pink and it is very pretty and of course I can rely on the fit as her sizes are always true to size so it's easy to order clothes from her.

This shirt is feminine yet crisp and structured. The fit is large so it can be worn as a shirt or over a shell/ cami as a jacket. The sleeves can be rolled up so this shirt can be worn what ever the weather. I'll be wearing this shirt during my next cruise - suitable for day or night.

This shirt has a classic style and the patterns on the bottom of the shirt are done well. The material is quite nice - better quality than the other boyfriend shirt with the leopard print. I sized down for this shirt and there is still plenty of room. All in all, you can't go wrong with this piece.

I'm a big fan of Joan's jewellery line and have also purchased several of her scarves. However, I'm rather new at buying from her clothing line. I did purchase a blouse last year and was very impressed with the fabric used and workmanship. I thought I would try this shirt and I'm glad that I did. The bold embroidery detail along the bottom edge simply elevates the look of the standard boyfriend shirt. This look is elegant and very classy. You will not be disappointed.
