don't be fooled

This has good sound for its size. Use it in a small room. This unit does not replace a regular stereo system with loudspeakers. We have our computer plugged into our Bose in the den, but are looking for a better sound system for this small room. The Bose falls short of a good stereo system in every way except size. For the price of the Bose system, I could have bought a nice speaker. This is not for people who are used to the real thing (a good sound system). Consider this a good quality clock radio that plays CDs.

I bought the Bose wave system about a week ago. I cannot believe the sound that comes out of this small unit. It's Fantastic. I have it hooked up to my tv and i feel like i'm sitting in the theater.
I would have liked the Bose company to have included the plug in antenna and RCA stereo cable with the package and not as an extra charge.

Big Sound!

I bought the wave music system to replace my old LARGE system that i had hooked up as my surround sound for my TV.
The Bose system has amazing clear sound for such a small unit. Bose includes a trial cd that lets you hear what music should truly sound like when you listen to it.
There is nothing bad i can say about it, but i would have liked Bose to have included the Bose plug in antena and RCA cable.

Its as great as they say it is

I started with one and then another and then another. Home, office and cottage. The system has a fantastic sound - truly exceptional and has the smartest and easy to use intuitive features. The clock holds its time and settings even if the power goes out or you unplug it for several hours to take it elsewhere. You can awake to your favourite CD or radio station and it starts in low and increases in volume slowly. A great product.

Good, but not necessarily better.

I've been coveting this Bose unit for a few years and now that I've finally purchased one I'm very disappointed. With all the hype, I guess I expected the sound to blow me away. My son, a musician, objects to the inability to control the base.

My objection is that during the sales pitch on TV they don't mention the fact that for optimum sound it should be at least 2 feet from a wall. Although they refer to the unit as a book shelf unit, you can't actually put it on a book shelf, assuming that the book case is against a wall.

I'll be returning this unit and will shop for better value.

The Best

After I bought this system last year I was not able to enjoy it due to poor health but now it is one of my most important joys. It is easy to program and the sound quality is excellent. When I play many of my CDs I can't believe that I missed some of the sounds. I love the Bose system and have a few family members who have purchased systems after hearing mine.

Amazing sound!

I needed to replace my kitchen radio when we renovated our kitchen. I'm not sure how I ever listened to that "better" undercabinet radio for so long after getting my Bose! Amazing crystal clear sound whether you're listening to the morning news or music on the radio,a CD or your Mp3 player. NO need for any other music source on my main floor. Beautiful design, absolutely worth every penny.

This IS a Good Quality Sound System

Unless you need to screech over the din of children, traffic or spouses (lol), this is an amazing system to have. If speakers are your thing, then by all means...

The compactness of this system and the deep, rich, clarity of sound it provides is all most people who live in urban centres require. Condos are not like Victorian homes of the past - a Bose unit in one room usually suffices. Think about adding wireless speakers to your existing system to expand into other rooms. We have connected this to our 46" LED TV. Between the picture and the sound, I feel like these scenes are "live" in our living room! Thanks, Bose. I always wanted to try one and the Showstopper was just the nudge I needed!
