About Philippe Sainte-Laudy

Philippe Sainte-Laudy, a photographer by passion for years, is fascinated with the photography of landscape and nature and lives near Strasbourg in France.  His goal in the world of photography is to strive for originality, and create images into an art form.

Always in search of the best light and of the most original angle, Laudy "hunts" for the most beautiful places which surround him and optimizes his images to show the natural beauty of these landscapes.

He says of his artwork, "The beauty of nature is all around us at all times, but there are brief moments when a combination of elements present themselves in a truly spectacular way. I'm fortunate to have a camera ready to record the event. In order to be in the right place at the right time, it is necessary to understand the complex interactions between light, weather, landscape, the tides, plants, and animals. And it is important to have a deep respect for this planet and its inhabitants. I hope that my photography can bring people closer to nature and encourage them to preserve it for future generations."

His recent works led him to move closer to the painting by putting textures on images and by making them print on canvas on stretcher frame. He was pleasantly surprised by the results, and continues his ongoing creative journey to discover that which is sinuous and original.
