This collection includes all four different Bank of Canada designs issued from the last allegorical design issue of 1937 to the 1988 birds issue, plus a specimen example of the 1922 chartered bank issue from the National Bank of Canada (La Banque Nationale). This is a high quality collection, with four of the five notes being in original uncirculated condition.  (The 1937 note will be in mid-grade circulated condition, while all the other notes are crisp uncirculated.)

$100 1922, National Bank (La Banque Nationale)
• Face Design:  Bank official Geo. Amyot (bilingual)
• Back Design: Bank name, counters and Arms of the City of Quebec

More Information:
Prior to the formation of the Bank of Canada in 1934 and the first Bank of Canada notes issued in 1935, most of Canada's banknotes of $5 and higher denominations were issued by the Chartered banks. This is a $100 banknote as issued by the National Bank / La Banque Nationale. This note is exactly as an issued note, except that it is marked specimen rather than having serial numbers or a signature at the left side. Although it was never used in circulation, it was likely used in 1922 as a sample to show bank employees what the new note issue would look like.
