This 1999 Nunavut Commemorative numismatic uncirculated set includes all seven denominations from the cent through to the two dollar commemorative coin. The coins are specially struck for collectors using highly polished dies and slow moving coin presses. The result is that the coins have a near perfect finish which is significantly different from the coins struck for circulation.

This set is highly sought after because it includes the commemorative "drum dance" $2 coin, marking Nunavut becoming a separate territory. It is also a popular issue because it includes a loon dollar and caribou quarter that were not issued at all for circulation. A low mintage fifty cent coin is also included featuring the Canadian Coat-of-arms. This 50 cent coin had very limited distribution and was produced in extremely small quantities in comparison to other denominations.

The two dollar coin commemorates the formation of Nunavut, Canada's third largest territory, with a design that honours the native drum dance. The loon dollar design features a Canadian loon. The back of the coins bear the diademed portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

This complete high quality coin set comes presented in a custom mahogany finish display case.
