I purchased two of these pendants, one for myself and one for my mother, who LOVES inukshuks. I was pleasantly surprized by the amount of colour in the stones. There isn't any blue in the stones I received, but I wasn't expecting any at this price point. The sterling silver is quite substantial, but the pendant is small enough to wear very comfortably on a daily basis.A very nice way to show your Canadian pride!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I almost jumped of joy when I opened the box. Though the ammolite is small, it has all the colors I wanted, yellow, orange, red, green and blue, in transitional pattern. Also the silver pendant is highly polished very nicely enhanced the ammolite. I like to wear as a choker, it just attract attention effortlessly. I love it!

I love my inukshuk!
By Brenda J.

I bought my inukshuk pendant because I've wanted a piece of ammolite for several years, but I never came across the perfect piece at an affordable price. Things I like about it: it's set in sterling silver and there are no other stones to detract from the ammolite, colours range from a bit of red to deep green (I didn't really expect blue in this price point so this didn't disappoint me) and it's a nice size - small enough to be delicate but still big enough to make a statement. It would be a perfect gift for Canadians living in other countries, for tourists, and for the young lady who just likes wearing something with a story and that's a bit more classy than she can buy locally. As for me, I now feel satisfied that I have my own special piece of our Canadian gemstone!

I was disappointed in this pendant. I have the earlier edition which is very nice but this new one offered a larger stone so I thought I would try it. Almost half of the stone was black, the first time I have seen black in Ammolite. I returned it and will stick with my first one. If one gets a good stone with this pendant, it really is very nice.

Nice For A Teenager or A CDN Souvenir

I wish we could give half stars. I rate this pendant at 3.5. I is better than "average, ordinary" but not quite "good stuff".This pendant was given as a gift to a 16 year old who liked the unique combination of amolite set into an inukshuk. Her comment was "how very Canadian". The 16" chain purchased for the pendant came with a 4" extension thus allowing various lengths depending on how high or low she wishes to wear it.As has been mentioned before, this pendant makes for an excellant Canadian souvenir for visitors/family members from other parts of the world. It is not overly expensive and a nice conversation starter when the visitors/family return to their home. The pendant itself was larger than expected and the workmanship was cleanly and smoothly done, plus the amolite was of good quality colour wise. If the stone had been just that little bit larger, I would have given the pendant a 4 star rating.
Just okay, not what I was expecting
By LOVE TO SHOP
Mine looked more like a little stove or fireplace than an inukshuk, mostly because of the way the stone was set in it and the colours of the stone. It was okay, but not what I had expected. I could recommend it for a gift for a child.
My first disappointment
I was looking forward to this piece especially as I wanted to use it as traveling jewelry. It was 90% green with a hint of red/gold in one corner. What a disappointment. I will not return because of shipping costs. I do like green so I will wear but that was not what this was supposed to be. I had planned on ordering more for gifts. Will not take the chance with my money.

I was not sure about the ammolite as it was so small but I am pleased to say that mine has reds ...green and gold in dramatically changing displays depending on the light source.....the design and workmanship are great...yes it is smallish but I like to wear it on a shorter chain so it just peeps out of my blouse necklines..the 18 inch chains often don't work for me but 17 or 16 inch are better wish we could get the shorter length chains in more choices...how about it TSC ???? Please......I love my inukshuk

great canadian souvenir
By longtime shopper
This makes a great Canadian souvenir with the Inukshuk design and Ammolite! Did not expect much colour or quality-wise for such a small piece of Ammolite but does have green and bit of orange/red.
