Follow the 'grow your own' trend and enjoy the fruits of your labours. Imagine the money you'll save by growing your own fruit crops this summer. Once it comes time to pick you can even freeze or preserve them to enjoy year round until next summer when you'll have a brand new fresh supply. Raspberries are a wonderful fruit crop for even the smallest of backyard gardens. They're easy to grow in a sunny or partly shady spot and they don't take much space. They can even be grown in containers! Enjoy them freshly picked, baked into your favourite pies and deserts or preserved as jams and jellies for year round enjoyment. Raspberries taste delightfully sweet and are an excellent source of Vitamin A & C.

Heritage raspberries offer exceptionally tasty berries and it is considered an ever-bearing variety, meaning it produces berries all summer long. The raspberries themselves are exceptionally tasty and produces a light crop in late spring and a heavy crop in the fall. This raspberry is particularly good for canning, freezing and jams.

Can't wait til they grow!

By Blueeyedcaper

from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

I just planted my 2 plants. I know I gave a 5 star but I have purchased plants from botanus and have had great success. I don't have a green thumb but have been able to follow their directions with ease. My plants I purchased last year are all growing again this year.

Takes time but it does grow!

I have a black thumb. But I trusted my mum, who has a better chance at growing than I. So she planted it and we have a healthy shrub. I know that over time, the berries will come, and last summer I had a few I could pick and eat. It does grow and you must give it time. But I know that in the summers to come, I will have fruit that I can try to jam with! And it does spread, so now my strawberry patch has some competition!
