Disappointed...

By Chris

I love tops with lace; but, this was sent back. When I tried it on the neckline rolled down exposing the lining. The bottom rolled up to expose the lining as well. This is what bothers me about the re-stocking fee, I certainly could not wear this top the way it rolled and yet expected to because of the re-stocking fee. Bad advertising for the designer should I have chosen to keep the top.

Not so pretty after a wash

Always have loved Brian Bailey. Ordered two by mistake and was surprised at the difference in fit. I kept one and sent the other back. The one I kept had a missed patch of sewing which I easily repaired.
I washed the top by hand and put on a flat surface to dry. It shrunk by one size and I am happy because the sleeves were too long anyway.
Will be more cautious about my purchases now.

Disappointed in the Lace

By Glennis

from Calgary

All Star Reviewer

Read the other two reviews and wanted to add my experience. I washed the Gabby lace top right away due to the chemical smell that the clothes seem to have upon delivery from the shopping channel that seems to be the norm. I washed on gentle cycle in laundry bag to protect the lace. I have never put a Bailey article in the dryer as per Brian's instructions. The lace came out of the washing machine much shorter than the jersey. After letting it sit for an hour I used my lint roller on it and rolled and rolled and rolled and rolled and rolled and rolled. I too could not believe the lint that came off of this black lace. The only good that came of that was it came back into shape and the length came back to normal. I think I could keep rolling it and lint would come off. I have not had occasion to wear it so don't know if it will fall apart - I hope not and I'm sure not. Out of 30 pieces, I have only had to 'mend' two so I have great faith that I won't. So just a bit disappointed in the quality of the lace. It is very soft and looks very nice and I'm looking forward to wearing it. I just wanted to answer the gal from Regina and let her know I had the lint problem as well.

Love the more open weave of lace!

Funky and different paisley-patterned soft lace with a bit of a vintage 70's look to it. I sized-up for a looser fit.

I was very disappointed in the quality of this top. It looked cheap, I have good lace pieces and this just did not compare at all, sent back right away.

Very Very Disappointed

By Very very Disappointed

I received this item a couple of days ago. The top was on a plastic hanger with a cellophane cover torn open on the bottom. No Brian Bailey tag was attached to the garment which made me wonder if I had received an item someone else had returned. Also, Brian Bailey stated several times on air what good quality lace he used for this top. Maybe he should have tested it himself first. Let me tell you the amount of lint that came off this garment was ridiculous. I put it in the dryer on air fluff but the lint just keep filling up the lint trap. I finally decided to hand wash it and lay it flat to dry. This somewhat reduced the lint problem so I decided to keep the top as it would cost me postage and a $5 restocking fee to return it. I wore it today and to my surprise the seam in the sleeve opened up from shoulder to elbow. Being very unhappy with my purchase I proceeded to call the Shopping Channel to explain my situation. The first agent I spoke with would only do an exchange which I did not want because of the lint problem. She absolutely refused to waive the $5 restocking fee so I asked for a supervisor. She then put someone on the line called John who also refused to do anything for me but exchange the item. He told me he was an assistant manager so I asked to speak with his supervisor which he refused to do and again gave me the same story about it being TSC's policy not to waive the $5 restock fee or postage even if the item was damaged as long as they could replace it with another one the same. I asked him if he was willing to lose a long time good customer for $5 and he again told me all he could replace the garment, so I assume yes he was willing to lose a good customer for $5. I am very disappointed with the service I received and would like to know if anyone else out there has had any problems with the top. Brian Bailey please verify what you are telling us about your garments and the material used in them prior stating the excellent quality which was not there.
