This is a set of two different $1 notes dated 1937. The first note bears the signatures "Coyne-Towers", while the second note bears the signatures "Gordon-Towers". Both notes are in excellent collectable circulated condition with no rips, tears or stains, and come presented in archival quality mylar banknote sleeves.

Unlike coins, bank notes are dated the year they are introduced and maintain the same date until the design is changed. 1937 $1 notes were issued from 1937 until the first Queen Elizabeth notes were released in 1954. However, not all 1937 notes are the same, and most advanced collectors seek to acquire at least one example of each major type. As the deputy governor and governor of the Bank of Canada change, the signatures on the bank notes also changes. This set of notes includes one 1937 note with the signatures "Gordon - Towers", and one 1937 note with the signatures Coyne - Towers.

• Face design is King George VI
• Back design is an Agriculture allegory featuring a Seated Female with Agricultural Products
