Even before graduating from Ryerson University in Toronto, his reputation and creations earmarked him as a rising star with multiple observers. After graduating in 1995, Dixon's moment to really shine would arrive, and he became a known fashion force all over the globe. He is pragmatic in his approach to designing, and only commits himself to putting together collections when he has a real story to tell. As his visibility grew, he would garner the attention of multiple celebrities, and his list of admirers would include Pam Anderson, Meg Ryan, and Jennifer Love Hewitt, to name a few. It's no real surprise though, as one of the things that has always defined Dixon is his dedication to classic evening wear and designer dresses. His understanding of sophisticated glamour is innate, and he has also been successful with accompanying lines of ladies formal shoes, too. Widely known as having a keen eye for spotting budding talent, Dixon is constantly surrounded by fresh minds to collaborate with, making sure his fashion ideas are always fresh, and refreshing. He is an enthusiastic contributing supporter of multiple charities and causes, and considers his label to be an ambassador brand of social awareness; over the years, David Dixon has maintained proud associations with such diverse organizations as Because I Am A Girl, The Children's Aid Society, Sick Kids Hospital, and The Make A Wish Foundation, to name a very small few.
