Very disappointing product
By Grandma Okanagan

I agree with the previous reviews, a very disappointing product. We were shocked at how flimsy this is.This will not accommodate a patio door, not only because it is flimsy, but because there are not enough parts (despite adding them onto the pieces already include with the air conditioner we'd purchased). We had missing nibs, too, only one arrived in a tiny dirty rolled up piece of masking tape. We thoroughly checked the packaging to see if they'd fallen loose, that is how we found the one nib that arrived in the parcel. The nibs are the little pieces that are supposed to hold the various plastic parts together. This extension will, however, accommodate a small window's horizontal opening. But, I would advise anyone considering using it ensure they check it regularly in case it ends up 'rolling' out from underneath the window. Also, this extension is very leaky, despite arriving with a small section of foam weather stripping. The weather stripping is a good idea if used on a small opening, but, doesn't 'cut it' on creating a workable seal if using it for a larger area. The plastic used is reasonably sturdy, it is the design that is flawed, and needs further design assessment, as another reviewer mentioned. If someone is seriously desperate for this extension to work due to the heat, and is unable to find a viable alternative ... perhaps order this item and buy some painter's tape to assist with sealing and securing the pieces in place. Maybe even consider using duct tape to assist with sealing the extensions together for a less leaky area. (Just to clarify, I am not saying this to be sarcastic or as a joke. Some people may be in desperate need for relief from the heat and have no one to assist them with creating an alternative opening, so I thought I'd add this in case it might be helpful.)We bought this extension thinking it would handy for moving the air conditioning around the house, if needed. We are making parts for our windows to accommodate our portable air conditioner.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

from Sidney, B.C.
When the DeLonghi air conditioner was a recent Showstopper, this extension was used to vent it out a patio door. Although the extension looked sturdy on TV, it does not work very well in reality. The pieces connect with flimsy plastic pins that continually pop out. Then of course everything falls apart. DeLonghi needs to figure out a better design.

No where near long enough for a patio door.
This bracket was being presented by Roger as being an extension which would make the supplied window bracket of the deLongi air conditioner fit a patio door. Not even close. Its going back and because of poor information, the return charge will apply.
