DG2 Boot Cut Jeans

By tsc regular shopper

from Calgary

Top 10 Reviewer

I couldn't resist this last chance price so ordered a size 8 in the chambray choice. I can fit them however they are a bit too snug around my waist, I measured the waist with my TSC measuring tape and came up with a 28 inch waist on a size 8 jean... the accompanying size chart says the waist is 30.25 inches - NOT..
I'm with all the other reviewers in DG's sizing issues, as we're not able to try the jeans ON FOR FIT WE NEED STANDARD MEASUREMENTS EVERY TIME!!!
The reviewer who said she's purchased 3 pairs of DG jeans all this year in 3 DIFFERENT SIZES and they ALL FIT her??? Something definitely wrong there...
I stopped buying DG jeans last summer due to sizing issues and expensive time consuming returns and unwillingness to take another stab at ordering the next size up or down...
The waist measures exactly 28 inches on these and not the 30.25 inches the size chart says...
Can't return so will put away in case I lose any weight and they fit more comfortably around my waist. Can not recommend due to sizing issues.

Boot Cut in Green

By brookleigh

from Victoria

Not quite what I expected. I was looking for "teal green jeans" .... but instead it is more like a kelly green - almost emerald ...... a bit bright ....
Fit is okay - but the description said stretch and this has no stretch. The fit is okay but I would have preferred a bit more stretch....

Another Example---

By Stylish Lady

I have these jeans in the indigo, white, black, red and yellow and really like them. I ordered up, after the first ones in size as Sandie said to do back then. I recently ordered them in the green on that sale price. I received them this AM and I think am returning them. I ordered the 12 as all the others but they are really tight. I measured them against the others and they are about 1-1/2" smaller then the others around the waist and hips. Have found that happens a lot of late with DG line. Really like the color and wanted them but have not decided if I will order another pair and take the chance they will be the correct measurements. DG line used to be my very favorite and I could always depend on the sizing to be very consistent but no longer and I am in the minority probably, but I really dislike the new super stretch. I like a crease in jeans even, and it has no body whatsoever and will not hold a press. I would recommend these but be aware that sizing may be off.

Line dry-seriously??? Loose threads!!!

By JC Clearance Shopper

The jeans fit relatively well (large waist although I ordered 1 size down). It is very much an unusual but light denim that is well-suited for the spring and a touch into summer.

However, these "designer" clothes are becoming tiresome with the special care requirements such as this one with line drying (my bad, I did not read care instructions, after all, they are only JEANS!). What I thought would be an upscale feature from the everyday (the heavy-stitching) has become an extra cost to me to get my seamstress to fix all of the faults, loose stitches and looped threads. I don't know how customers settled for this quality at full price...I would have returned it in a heartbeat.

Where is your quality control, TSC, and do you pay any attention to your customers' comments? There is an implied level of trust anticipated with whomever and whatever is being presented on your channel. I was impressed with numerous TSC.ca items and have ended up with the low-quality, mass produced versions of the designers' lines -- clothes with no thought to utility, ease of care, proper sizing, correction of faulty production issues such as unsuitable material/poorly done seams and, finally, PROPER INSPECTION of the finished product. As I have been told that, basically, none of these are valid reasons for return, how much can I trust your channel??

not bad

By k. animal advocate

I gave these four stars because I bought them at the discounted price and the old adage, You get what you pay for, applies here. I like the jeans but would not have paid full price for them. I managed to squeeze into size 10P, which usually fits just fine. I have the chambray and the indigo. I plan to order another couple pairs in size 12P in the other colours at the discounted price.

Size Up

from BC

I have several pairs of DG2 jeans and usually DG2 8P fits me well. I am usually a size 8-10 in other brands. I couldn't resist the sales price of those jeans and bought 2 pairs in 8P, which turned out to be much smaller in waist than the other DG2 jeans I own but not anywhere else. Those jeans are also thinner than the regular DG2 jeans, more like summer jeans. I would definitely recommend size up if you are considering these.

Look and feel Fantastic

I received these jeans before Christmas and I absolutely love them. I ordered in my size, a size 8 and they fit perfectly. Black with the white pick stitch. Love them!!
Lots of compliments on the pick stitch.

I have several different kinds of Diane's jeans; I am a senior, aged 71, and finally I found a designer that designs for all age groups .. Thanks, Diane.

Comfy...BUT, get out the measuring tape!

By Lisa

from Alberta

All Star Reviewer

These jeans are okay. Definitely not my favourite. Based on some other DG2 jeans I have from a few months ago, I ordered a size down. Big mistake. Sent them back and waited for these to go on sale. Tried again and ordered a size up (the ones I had sent back were so tight I thought I should go up a size). Sizing up was a good move because they are quite comfortable. However, these look a little sloppier than I would like. A looser fitting jean with larger leg openings (more of a flare than a bootcut... maybe because I sized up?). They're holding up after washing and wearing them for a couple months now but this may be the last pair of Diane Gilman jeans I order. All three styles I own are a different size! I have size 6, 8 and 10, all purchased this year and they all fit! Ridiculous! Ms. Gilman, do you enjoy wearing multiple sizes and never knowing which size to order? You might want to decide on some sizing standards at some point because, judging by all the negative reviews your items are receiving, you are frustrating many ladies simply looking for a nice pair of jeans. I would only recommend these jeans to someone willing to take a chance on sizing and risk having to send them back for an exchange because the ones that ended up fitting are not my usual size.
