Custom Made 18KT Yellow and White Gold 3-Dimensional Rose Brooch/Pendant with Blue Enamel and Diamonds

The pin of the back of the piece is hidden behind the organically-shaped, 18kt yellow gold stem that sweeps below the rose. The leaves, and the petals, are decorated with green and deep blue enamel, respectively. Possibly the most unique and surprising element of this custom-made piece is the aforementioned blue enamel petals, which each move individually via a mechanism hidden in the base of the brooch. This enables the wearer to tighten the petals—which, by the way, are lined across each tip with a frosting of diamonds—to form a closed rosette, or to open them to display a rose in full bloom. Finally, and fabulously, a smattering of shimmering, bright diamonds sit atop long stems of 18kt white gold within the petals, which have been fashioned to sway loosely with movement, like the real centre of a flower. This unique brooch (which can also be worn as a pendant, thanks to a hidden bale) has a total of 51 diamonds combining for a 1.25 carat diamond weight.
