Met all of my expectations"

By SK

from Niagara ON

I am very pleased with the towers. I did, however, have to YouTube the assembly part and that was perfectly helpful. I filled them easily with impatiens which have blossomed wonderfully to fill the tower. I am hoping to buy 2 more for next year.

Awesome

By J

from Vancouver Island

Had no problem putting them together. Stood each one in a tub to fill. At first I thought the holes were too big. ( I used the small 6 packs of plants.) Looked like they would fall out, but after 6 weeks, they are the most beautiful planters I have ever had. They have been moved many times with no problems.

Just adore these, my strawberry plants arrived within days, took time to put it all together, well worth all effort. Today they are DRIPPING w/fresh berries. Easy to water/fertilize, move around with the finger holes. Had a driveway sale, and everyone wanted to buy them. Where did I get them? Well they all wrote down TSC, hope they all purchase. What a spectacular showing of berries with no worries about SLUGS or dirt!!!

Yes the towers are difficult to put together-thank goodness for my husband who put them together. At first, the first 2 rows take time to plant and are more difficult but then you get on a roll.I did all 6 in petunias and now are filling in and will be beautiful. They are very much worth!!!!!I will not tell anyone where I got them as I don't want to share my garden secrets!

Absolutely Amazing!!!

By BETTY JANE

Ok, I've read some negative reviews, but so not true in my experience. I bought these months ago, but held off writing a review until I used them! Assembly was easy and these things do hold together IF assembled properly. For my own peace of mind, I reinforced the seams with black duct tape. I planted pansies in one and petunias in the other. ALL the plants are doing well, and even with only a few pansies starting to pop open, already I'm getting compliments!!
It's a bit messy to pour the soil in, but I found that putting the assembled tower in a cardboard box saved a lot of mess.
I have actually been able to use the holders and move the flower tower to where I feel it would look best....it seems very secure.
So thrilled that I purchased these; can't wait till they all bloom. My girlfriend is practically begging me to get her a couple!
So, yes! These are definitely the cat's meow!!

colorfully beautiful!!!

By Loveski

from Hamilton

I bought 3 sets of these, easy to assemble. My trouble for the first one was when I was putting some soil, some soil comes out from other holes, so I made an improvised funnel for the soil. Just cutout both ends of empty water bottles then connect them together(taped together) and a large tim Horton cup on top, cutout the bottom..voila! Anyway, I use 3 of them already, I ran out of plants, I have to buy more. It's been raining all day and I can see the beauty of it already. I placed them on every corner of my pergola...just need to buy more plants to finish the job.

Packaged very well for shipping. Material is very strong. Did need some help to put together but followed instruction to the letter and it did not take very long to do. Can't wait for the bedding plants to come to the garden centres so I can get it planted. Am going to put one on each side of our front door. Am always looking for something different so am very pleased with this product.

Very Happy ....buying some more for next year!

By Kathy

I bought 2 sets of these and have used 3 (gave one to a co-worker) I didn't have any difficulty assembling and they haven't come apart at all.

I did put pea gravel in the bottom to keep the stands from blowing over when windy...so far nothing has tumbled!

To fill, I taped wax paper around the outside and covered the watering hole with tape so the watering "pole" wouldn't get full of dirt. I filled the planter and once full, started planting from the bottom up and tearing off the wax paper as I worked upwards. (I did keep the planter in a plastic tub to catch excess soil and didn't really have any issues with mess)

I planted one with Petunias and Alyssum; one with Strawberries; and made a "Salad Planter" with Lettuce, various herbs and planted chives in the top....spare holes I filled with Bean Seeds. All planters are doing very well. Only issue I had was the planter with the flowers...I think I put too much gravel in the bottom and not enough soil but it still looks great.

I will be purchasing at least 2 more to use next year!

Yes, I pretty much water every day and there is some leakage but since they are outside I don't mind the little bit of temporary mess. Also, I do turn them occasionally, but also, I do that with any plants I have outside in planters

Can hardly wait until next year to have more fun with additional planters!

flower tower is a keeper

By blue

from ajax, ontario

bought these in early spring as birthday gifts for my family and as of a week ago they were still going strong...and still standing in October. once the flowers took they completely covered the towers. planting is a pain but I found that watering the plants first than gently squeezing the soil around the roots to compress the soil made it easier to push the plants into the holes. I used 2 colors of impatients and alternated the colors up the tower and 3 on top with 2 green vines hoping the vines would trail down the tower...and they did...but... next spring my kids will have to plant their own lol, as I will be busy planting my own this time. it is well worth the effort to have planters that look healthy, showy and different. the reason I did not give them a 5 star rating is the process was slow and messy, but we learn by doing and figuring out easier methods so come spring I will be better prepared to plant mine.

These are great!

By Debbie

Yes, they are a bit hard to put together. But once they are they do not come apart. I have one full of petunias and it is doing really well. They other is full of vegys and herbs. Tomatoes, cucumber and peppers at the bottom and all the herbs near the top. Everything is growing very well.
