Very Disappointed

Par Retired Lady

de Midland, Ontario

I was very excited to order these beautiful earrings believing Generations 1912 to be quality jewellery at an excellent price; however, I was terribly disappointed with the pair sent as the two stones were mismatched - one light and the other dark like a sapphire. Where is their quality control?! I immediately contacted TSC to alert them of the problem but they had sold out and I had no option but to return these mismatched earrings. These earrings were defective, to me, and as such should have been taken back including the postage. While I was refunded the purchase cost, it was less return postage. Return postage was rather high since it was returned in the original envelope and the original shipping and handling was almost half the price.

very pretty

These are very pretty earrings, I had a hard time trying to get the backing off and then back on, and I will be very careful as the posts are thinner than I was expecting. The color however is beautiful.

Beautiful surprise

Par ms. Raspberry Fillings

de Montreal

I was really happy and surprised upon the opening of the box. Thank you to the Generations 1912 team, the earrings are beautiful and well-made.

The weight of the sterling silver (together with the stones) feels substantial for the size and price of the earrings.

A small but nonetheless important detail, the butterfly post-backs on these glide on and off nicely from the posts, while still remaining securely and properly fastened once you have them on - your fingers won't have to attempt at extracting Excalibur from the stone, a painful experience some post-back earrings sometimes give us.

I am in love with the colour of the stone. It is of a deep oceanic blue and the faceting makes the light bounce off wonderfully and makes you catch a different glimmering of blue inside the London blue topaz (I can't stop looking at it in the light, the colour is mezmerizing). The white sapphires surrounding it makes a simple, but beautiful and elegant combination.

I really enjoy and appreciate the engraving of the sterling silver. From the front, the earrings look like twinkling little flowers or stars. From the back, you will find the pretty engraving of flower petals, which is another small detail that adds an extra touch of femininity. Even though you may be the only one to see it or know that it is there (as it will be hidden once you wear the earrings), it is a nice touch that mirrors the small details in clothing pieces that make you appreciate a garment for the little secrets it holds, like the beautiful interior lining to a coat, or the exclusive hardware to a particular handbag. Also, the post-backs have a petally shape to them as well and the side of the earrings have also been engraved. Small details that could have been unecessary, but bring so much more to a piece of jewellery. When you hold the earrings up vertically, they practically look like miniature flowers. :)

In addition to their nice workmanship and beautiful design, they come to you packaged in a beautiful and substantial Gunther Mele box of a deep dark blue colour, with a golden lift lock. Two thumbs up for me for these earrings and their presentation.
