So Glad I Bought This Glass Bowl!

By LOVE TO SHOP

from OLDS

All Star Reviewer

This is a great bowl, I can put the plastic lid on it and store my ice-cream mixture in the fridge for the required 8 hours before finishing it in the ice-cream maker. It works so well with my Artisan mixer. I did have to get used to putting it on my machine, getting it to lock into place correctly, but once I did it properly, it's easier to do it each time. I like having the handle and pouring spout, and I find that my beater cleans the sides of it well. Some of the other reviewers were questioning the depression in the lid, which I find is needed if you want to store your bowl on your machine. The machine fits down into the depression in the lid. I also use the bowl to store my ice-cream mixing parts in, I can see them through the bowl and know instantly where they are. I think having a second bowl is a real bonus and I would definitely recommend this one.

Great Bowl!

By Crystal

Been wanting one of these bowls for a while to add to my Kitchenaid collection. Finally purchased it in early Sept and I am very pleased. I notice when using the ladle attachment it scraps the sides of the glass bowl more efficiently than the steel bowl. I love having a handle to hold on to for pouring batter into pans. Just be careful that the bottom gray part is secure, I had to tighten it a few times or the bowl won't lock right into the stand.

By Mona H

from Vernon BC

just got this and am so disappointed. This bowl is for the tilt-head style only! That info is nowhere to be seen on the description or ordering info. so I'm forced to return it.

For Debbie

By CC

The indent in the lid or cup-like space is for the part of the mixer head that holds the blade to nestle down into, so the mixer head can sit level. Therefore you can leave the lid on the bowl and the bowl on the stand.

someone please tell us

By Debbie Graham

I too have tried to get the answer to that indentation on top of the lid. I tried to contact someone at kitchenaid, they make it almost impossible, tried to find out from TSC, they do not know either. Like the other reviewer said it is meant for something, would really like to know, most likely a great feature that we are missing out on, maybe we should call in when they are on air, That might work

Great addition

By Debbie Graham

I too have this extra bowl and love it, but can anyone tell me what that indentation that is on the top of the lid is for. I have called tsc, and nobody seems to know. Tried to contact kitchenaid, and they never responded, I would really like to know, must be for a reason

Great Value!

By Maureen

from Winnipeg, MB

I was concerned that the bowl wouldn't fit my Artesian mixer. I am thrilled that it does indeed work with the model. Definitely worth the price; haven't seen it lower anywhere!

Disappointed

By SHAROLE

from Canada,BC,SALMON ARM

Helpful Reviewer

I was disappointed when I got this glass bowl because it did not fit my Acolade 350 I had bought previously on TSC. I phoned twice, but no one could help me. I tried Kitchenaid, and they told me there was no adaptor to make this bowl fit. I was hoping my icecream adapter would work, but it did not.
Therefore I had to return this item.
