Pale brownish colour
By TSC Shopper
Love Elizabeth's lip stains, they really do last nicely but this terracotta clay is on the brown side and pale in colour. It makes for a nice nude lip but I had hoped it would have a bit more red or orange in it like a terracotta clay pot would have then it would be perfect since I find the Red Carpet stain a bit too red for every day. I recommend with the above description of the colour, and it's not a bad nude.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

How I hate this - Let me count the ways
from Montreal (Quebec)
I recently ordered the 'trio' of stains... The colours all seem very nice, some more suitable for me then others, not an issue. Yes, once on it does last. But oh, how this product absolutely stings and burns when it's applied. It also bleeds (have tried shaking it a little before applying to see if that helps), which makes it very uneven. Finally, if I didn't know that I had lines around my lips beforehand, I certainly do now after applying this stain. Sorry, this is an major EG letdown.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I have been wearing Elizabeth's lip stains since she first launched them and I really do appreciate their long lasting quality. This colour is quite brown. I chose this colour as I was hoping it would replace the previous colour called "Venetian Terracotta" (a more vibrant, warm terracotta) - so I was a little disappointed. I put a brighter gloss over top of this lip stain and it brightens the colour. The formulation in this colour seemed to be better than some of the more recent lip stains that have been included in some of the packages of late - some of the colours deposit too much of the solid pigment on the lips -- even with lots of shaking before application. I so miss the vibrant raspberry colour (can't remember the name) and the Rosy Red - a softer version of red that is so easy to wear. Please bring back some of these beautiful colours - I can't imagine why they have not been available. I agree with another customer who would like to see the packages that were made up of lip stains only - and included some of the previous colours and offered many choices. An additional request would be for a "happy" burgundy colour - not too brownish.
