I like it!

I've always wanted to learn to play guitar, but I don't have time for lessons. Now I can learn to play guitar from the comfort of my own home, when I can squeeze in the time. I've tried learning before, but quit, because it's quite frustrating in the beginning. With the chord buddy it feels like you are already playing right away, which makes learning fun instead of frustrating.

I've only just begun, and I haven't started taking off the pieces and learning the chords on my own yet, but I do feel quite hopeful that this system will work. I have already put the guitar in the closet and given up after 2 weeks of practicing daily (from lack of time). But I do plan on devoting more time very soon. I think that as long as you devote your time this should work for most people.

One problem that I did have was that the chord buddy was not as simple as snapping onto the guitar as they lead you to believe. I had to get my husband to do it and it took about half an hour to get it set up properly and sounding right. The guitar also had a lot of scratches on it....but it is a cheaper guitar and if I do get good I would buy a better one.

not worth keeping

agree with other reviewer, quality of product is an issue...for the price it's not surprising ; the chord concept is great in theory but the unit itself did not appear it would withstand wear and tear.

what you hear is not what you get

By GUY

from GUELPH

Silver Reviewer

you would think the guitar he is playing would be the same as you get but they are not the one he plays is better sounding than the one you get it is a different make also the tuner is different and the strap is not made for the guitar you get the chord buddy is a great idea and the lessons are good but as for the rest I would not have bought it if I knew the guitar was different because the one he was playing had a good sound but not the one you get the tuner it is not the one you see him using so I sent it back
