I recieved this machiene as a gift. I was excited to use it. It is a piece of junk. First the dough goes round and round and it does not get pushed towards the spout. I had to pause it every 40 seconds and use my hands to shove some dough in to the spout so it can create the pasta. Then when it did come out, it immediatly stuck together in a long piece of dough (I made fetuccini). I tried seperating it but it was no use, I was only stretching a long piece of dough. I also tried sprinkling dough on it as it came out but it still stuck together. I can not imagine the nightmare I would have had to deal with had I tried to make spaghetti. Do yourself a favor and save your money.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Best appliance you can spend your money on
from Toronto, Ontario
I love kitchen gadgets... you name it, I have it. Although this machine is expensive, it's a lifestyle you're buying... having fresh pasta is so different from the packaged ones. I haven't tried other ingredients other than flour, eggs and water, but I look forward to trying the recipes that are in the cookbook. I loved my breadmaker before but now this is my new favourite!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is truly an amazing piece of equipment.* well built and solid construction* works as stated in the material* easy clean up* fresh, tasty pasta & noodles, ravioli, pierogi, lasagnia, dumplings ... lots of variety* wonderful little hidey spots for the accessories; keeps everything together and organized. If you are a foodie ... buy this!
Love Love Love!
I just received this for my birthday and I'm definitely in love with this machine.* It's well built ... feels strong and reliable.* The drawer is such a tidy, organized idea.* It takes no longer to make the fresh pasta than the water takes to boil ... which is awesome.* The flavour is exceptional.* Clean up is a breeze.

Phillips thought of everything in this machine. The storage drawer neatly stores all the accessories. Clean up is easy. And the pasta is just superb. Portion sizes recommended in the accompanying recipe book are very generous. The smaller size would easily feed 2 - 3 people well. I needed to add a little more water (approx. 1 1/2 Tablespoons) but the pasta came out perfectly and oh so easy. The durum semolina was easily found in Bulk Barn. Haven't had a chance to try the spinach or other flavors but that will come next. Going to use my Blendtec blender to make the juice for flavored pasta. One thing I would like is a macaroni die but I'm sure that will come along as more people buy this great machine. Mine did not come from TSC (it was a Christmas gift) but the TSC price is much better than where it came from, especially with the introductory price and free shipping. But I am absolutely delighted with it and can't wait to make many more memorable meals. I made the Carbonara recipe from the book and we wanted to lick our plates clean. All my friends are jealous now.
