Product Overview
When used in outdoor planters, window boxes and hanging baskets, Waterdots will reduce watering frequency by half or more - will more than double the days between watering. They can be used with indoor plants too. Ideal for harsh locations such as hot sun drenched southern exposures. Enhances growing conditions, even during extended absences.
Made from recycled material, completely reusable, will not break down in the soil. Non toxic - absorb more than 10 times their weight in water (almost 3 times the equivalent amount of potting soil) - will not leach in soil or plants - simple-to-use instructions included
In 2013 we became aware of a leading 'green roof" technology. One of the key components of this technology is a capillary irrigation mat that keeps the soil moist longer under the harsh growing conditions found on roof tops. We tested the material in planters indoors and out. When compared to regular soil mixtures, the plantings with the 'Waterdots material' did not dry out and thrived with less watering. Given this result, we decided to offer Waterdots to gardeners, landcapers and nurseries,...everyone was interested in happier healthy plants! Waterdots was launched in the Spring of 2014.
