So versatile and handy.

Love this appliance. Use it at least once a week and it saves me using my oven all summer. Only issue I have is the lid is a bit flimsy, but it does not affect the cooking.

Maybe I'm the lucky one

By Marina

After using this counter top baker numerous times...and I mean lots...I am quite impressed. I grilled salmon as well as beef burgers with yum fries several times, chicken breasts with veggies (green beans with garlic, grape tomatoes and topped with Parmesan cheese along with baby carrots), kale and feta brats with potato fries and pork chops with veggies; and was impressed at how succulent and tasty the food was. I used store bought frozen oven fries, did NOT add any oil and it comes out better than the traditional oven. Although I also purchased the cookbook I use it for ideas and do my own thing. Prep, cook and clean up within 30 minutes.

However, I agree, there is something wrong with the pizza pan because I also experience the bottom being overdone and the top being raw. I also think for a larger family this cooker might be too small. I cook for two people and it works perfectly. Not withstanding these two facts I can say that the counter top baker I received is well aligned and does it's job very well.

Pleased after limited use

By Beachgirl

from Rexton

I have been very pleased with this product so far, but I have only used it twice. I cooked quite large boneless chicken breasts, seasoned and lightly oiled, in 25 minutes. They were juicy and not at all dried out--probably the best I have ever made. This evening I cooked boneless chicken thighs, seasoned and brushed with olive oil, in 18 minutes. I roasted a selection of vegetables at the same time, prepared as I normally would for oven roasting. This oven cuts my normal cooking times by a third to a half. This product works very well with the types of food that I typically prepare. I haven't tried anything yet with a high fat content or a "sticky" consistency.

not nonstick

By sally b

Used this appliance for the first time to make burgers and fries.
The burgers cooked quickly and were very moist however the fries took about 40 minutes I added the 1 TBS of oil as directed in the recipe how ever they stuck to the pan and I needed to add more oil to get them to cook. The end result were very good fries but clean up was a pain as there was a lot of stuck on food.
I will definitely be keeping this baker but will be applying a cooking spray from now on.

So far so good!

By Calgary Cooker

from Calgary (Alberta)

So far I have tried two recipes using this countertop oven (ham and pineapple and brats with pepper and onions). Both dishes seemed acceptable, however the cooking time for each recipe was a lot longer than suggested on air and in the recipe book. Otherwise, the recipes and oven seem to provide an interesting way to prepare everyday foods.

as advertised

By Babs

from Hamilton

Does a good job -- I set it up and walked away and came back to nicely cooked food. Easy clean up.

I deducted one star for the overall flimsiness ... this is not a sturdy appliance. The lid does not close evenly.

Bottom line: It does what I wanted it to do but it is of very basic build quality .

Yes I like the baker.

I like to cook in the baker. Stir fries are great in it . I wish the deep dish pan was a little more non stick. Mine is a mess. I would love to buy another one.

to be fair

Even though I would not recommend this item to a friend unless he/she didn't mind the shallow deep pan that's not really that non-stick, I am keeping my baker - it would be a pain to send back, and the three meals I've cooked so far turned out quite well. Plus if my stove ever stops working, the baker would be quite essential even as just a large electric frying pan. And it's kind of neat looking.

if only the deep pan was really a deep pan

By d

It would be great if another separate pan that was double the depth could be made available for purchase, especially for extra servings and for easier cooking dry pasta that need that extra liquid and sauce. Also, it would be helpful if the pan was more none-stick than it is now - especially after cooking a frittata. It is worth getting the companion cookbook, even if it doesn't contain some of the on-air mentioned recipes. It helps to know what quantities of ingredients to use - the manual that came with the baker has no recipes.

So far okay, but does not clean well

By buys too much at TSC

As I do not have AC and I do not use my oven in the summer, I thought this would be good to have for when I cannot BBQ. Prior to making the decision to purchase it, I checked out the reviews on the American website and they seemed quite favourable. I have tried it twice so far, one time with frozen pizza and one time with the Thousand Islands pork chops. I added extra time and the pork chops were overdone, but that was more to do with my meat thermometer. What I do not like and hence the three stars is the clean up. Even the small little spots from the frozen pizza were not easy to get off.

My cover seems to fit fine and I find it light if I need to move it.
