Best Oven Ever

from Rock Creek B.C.

Silver Reviewer

I have found this oven cooks my vegetables and chicken at the same time, resulting in juicy chicken, and vegetables done just right. Wow! I highly recommend this oven. Works great as an oven or a pressure oven.

Not impressed

By Picky

from British Columbia

Recently bought this oven and the first thing I tried was a roast chicken. The drippings from the chicken ruin the roasting pan which is supposed to be non-stick. there is moisture build up around the door. the recipe book is in french. unable to reach anyone at customer service had to email and they responded by emailing me a copy of the "how to care/use the oven" they did not address my recipe book in English issue. I've had this oven for 1week now and If this is not resolved I am sending the one back. Overall it just seems like cheaply constructed oven.

Impressed This Time

By Crystal

All Star Reviewer

When this first came on the market a year or two ago, I bought it and returned it because it was dangerous when pulling out the rack if it had a heavy roast on it. The oven tipped forward suddenly and that was a serious safety issue in my opinion. So I returned it, preferring to lose $40 shipping than risk injury. Also, it was too big for my needs and too big for my kitchen counter.
Funny how that review is not here????
When this smaller version was offered I decided to try it because the pressure cooking option is very appealing. I was using my toaster oven as cooking for one makes no sense in a standard oven, given the hydro costs today especially. I used it tonight to roast a chicken, whole, in 40 minutes. I am impressed with the result of pressure roasting! I am wary of the potential instability so I was careful pulling out the rack, then pushed it back in and just pulled out the pan. The chicken is so good! I just set it on top of a celery stalk and sliced onions with seasoning salt and garlic and pepper. The resulting drippings worked as a dipping jus.
The size of the oven is a better scale for me and my kitchen and I don't expect to miss having the rotisserie function, since I've never had one before. It looks good and works well.
The reviewer that cited rust issues has given me a caution about keeping it closed. I will make sure to dry it out and air it too. I don't know about leaving the door open though. Probably not. I really hope this unit performs as well as my ten year old toaster oven! So far I'm very happy.

W.P. small pressure oven

By Marlyne

from Keremeos, B.C.

All Star Reviewer

As an empty nester, I decided to try the small size. So far so good. I wish the interior had a light so you could follow the cooking progress better. I'm also aware of the oven rack tilting, so be careful! It seems fairly sturdy, so hopefully I won't have any problems. I'm satisfied with both baking functions and find the toast setting very fast and even. Now I just have to experiment with cooking times and temperatures. Would recommend it....hope I don't have to change my mind!!

inside oven rusted

By online shopper

from Edmonton AB

Purchased this oven last year in November, it is still under warranty. The issue I have with this oven is the inside of the oven rusted. We are diligent wiping the inside down and drying thoroughly and then allowing it to dry with door open for some time prior to closing door and storing the unit. However, took it out recently and the inside was rusted. Cannot even use the drip tray due to the rust. Contacted Wolfgang Puck customer service they informed me any type of "rust" is not covered under warranty. They didn't even offer to replace drip tray? They offered a discount to replace oven, I would never replace, will not use it due to the rust inside oven, so unfortunately will dispose of this unit. I used the oven approx every two months for the rotisserie function, so if you use this oven occasionally I would recommend leaving door ajar while storing unit to prevent rusting from occurring, taking into consideration it is a Pressurized unit and any minute amount of moisture will create rust once the door is shut.

Follow up on July 2nd posting

By Love to cook!

from Montreal

Hi, I wanted to follow up on my previous comments posted July 2nd concerning this oven. I called the WP service number on July 5, 2016. I was advised that since the oven was under one year it was on full warranty and would be replaced. HOWEVER THE REPLACEMENT OVEN WOULD BE A STRIPPED MODEL SO I WAS ADVISED TO KEEP ALL THE PARTS AND PIECES EVEN THE PRESSURE VALVE. I had to cut the cord three inches from the plug and send it with the proof of purchase to the WP Warranty office in Hollywood Florida. The bubble wrap packaging and the postage came to just under $20.00. I mailed this on July 6. July 19th I received the replacement oven but low and behold it was a complete oven with all the accessories so now I have two of everything which is a good thing. The extra pan and racks have come in handy and now I am able to cook more things in the oven at the same time. Especially great when everyone wants something different for supper. I suggest that WP add an extra rack and a roasting pan with grate to the basic package. I have no complaints about the service I received and so far the new oven is working better than the first one. So kudos to WP and the Warranty department.

I received this oven at the end of November 2015. At first it was great and I used all the functions. I had none of the problems that I had read in the previous reviews. It has been used continually for the past 7 months sometimes up to 4 times a day. I have roasted, baked, broiled, toasted and rotisseried with no problems. All the included parts are of good quality, no rusting or warping. Then last week the oven died. The top and bottom elements will not heat up. The rotisserie element and motor are still working but I'm not hopeful of that lasting long. This is a pricey piece of equipment. The elements should last. I have called the The Shopping Channel to get the service number and will call them to see what can be done since the item is under a year old. I just wanted to warn others that this item is not worth spending the money on. However that being said when the oven works it works great. The people at Wolfgang Punk really need to do something about the quality of the materials used in their products. Customer satisfaction in a brand name is important if you want return business for your other products.

very disapointed

By Marsbar

from Vancouver

I bought this appliance because I loved the 1 before this, thought it did so many more things. I got the cookbook and instruction manual in french that was the 1st. problem. I couldn't get the hard copy of instructions so they sent me photo copies(how unbusiness like) then I decided it wasn't for me to late to return,so I contacted Thane and they charged me for the English cookbook and instructions, I gave as a wedding present and now I use the old one I bought 6 yrs. ago. Too much money and not worth it, service was almost impossible Never again

Better than my full size oven!!!!

By Kathleen

from North Bay,Ontario

Silver Reviewer

Seriously, the best for empty nesters. I did the turkey test and it was exactly as they said!!! I enjoy using this oven over my full size oven to cook pizzas, to cookies to pot roasts. I have found time is much shorter = less $ spent on energy bill , also and frankly most importantly, the food is baked or cooked to perfection. For one of the first times in my married life ,my husband is extremely impressed with my roasted chicken . Didn't need sauce to cover up dryness !
Well worth the money.

Not worth the price, cannot be repaired after warranty

By Riverdog

from Ontario

Bronze Reviewer

It worked well at first, though I had trouble using it pressurized so I used it mostly as a small oven.

It was very difficult to clean especially the top element so cooking a small turnkey or a chicken on the rotisserie as advertised is very messy. The pans rusted within the first month.

The unit quit working about two years after I bought it. Customer Service at Wolfgang Puck was of no help. The warranty was up but they should offer some advice on how to get it repaired or where to get replacement parts. Even if I was willing to ship it to them for repair they don't offer that option.
