The Canadian 1891 Large Cent is found in three major varieties based of the leaves of the reverse. The first two have the Large Leaves reverse, indicated by the broad, flat leaves with little detail. The third has a Small Leaves reverse, where the leaves are slightly smaller with more detail. Within the reverse Large Leaves variety there is a difference in the size of the date. This is denoted either Large Date or Small Date. The Small Leaves variety is found with only a Small Date. This coin is an Extremely Fine example of the 1891 one cent Small Date, Small Leaves variety, with Dark chestnut toning. The coin has been independently graded and certified as EF-45 by ICCS (International Coin Certification Service), Canada's largest and most respected independent coin certification company. Coins certified by ICCS come protected and sealed in a tamper proof mylar display holder. This is a "one only item". The photograph is of the exact item you will receive.
